Dear Alpha Beta Foundation,

My name is Angelina Nestor and I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for awarding me the $1000 Alpha Beta Chapter Scholarship. I am honored to be selected as a recipient and truly appreciate your support in helping me pursue my educational goals.

As a first-generation college student, navigating higher education has presented its unique challenges. This scholarship only eases the financial burden but also serves as a testament to the hard work and perseverance that have brought me this far. With the fund provided, I was able to purchase a MacBook, which has already proven to be an invaluable tool for my studies and coursework.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to my parents. As a first-generation student, I recognize the sacrifices and hard work they put in to provide me with opportunities they never had. Their dedication and perseverance have been my inspiration, and I am forever grateful for their unwavering support and belief in my potential. Thank you, Mom and Dad, for paving the way and making my dreams possible.

Thanks to my guidance counselor, Mrs. Blanchard, who brought the scholarship to my attention and for guiding me through this process. Special thanks to Ms. Scarsella for her unconditional support throughout my years in high school, and to my elementary teachers who were my ultimate inspiration to become a dual language teacher myself.

I am particularly grateful to the Alpha Beta Foundation for their commitment to supporting future educators. Their dedication to fostering the development of aspiring teachers as myself is truly commendable. As an inspiring elementary dual-language educator, I am committed to making a positive impact on young students’ lives, and your generosity brings me one step closer to achieving this dream.

Starting this fall, I will be attending the College of Staten Island, pursuing a major in education with a concentration in Childhood Grades 1-6. Your support means the world to me and my family, and it inspires me to continue striving for excellence. Thank you once again for your generosity and for believing in my potential. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity this scholarship has provided for me, and I am dedicated to making the most of it.

Warm regards,
Angelina Nestor
