COLLEGIATE MEMBER OF THE ALPHA BETA CHAPTER OF DELTA KAPPA GAMMA society international for key women educators

Dear Alpha Beta Chapter,
The Delta Kappa Gamma Society presented me with the Dr. Mary Meade award, a $2000 scholarship in June 2017. I currently attend the Verrazano honors program at the College of Staten Island class of 2021.
The funds for this award went towards my new HP laptop I use every day both at home and on campus. This is my main college expense which helps me tremendously going from class to class and my college life. I also used my scholarship to purchase the most expensive items on campus, my textbooks, which range from thirty dollars to three hundred and twenty- four dollars. Thanks to the Delta Kappa Society, I was able to purchase the necessary books for all my courses. I still work with children who are on the spectrum and it just makes my day, when I realize someday I will be teaching them.

I am currently an education major on my way to becoming an early childhood special education teacher. These next four years of my college life will be hard work and full of experience, and I am surely up for it and can't wait for what's to come.
